About Me
Training, Qualifications and Experience
I am registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and I adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
I hold a BA (Hons) degree in Person Centred Counselling from the University of Middlesex and a Diploma in Person Centred Counselling from the Metanoia Institute in London.
I have training in supporting people experiencing loss, complicated grief and traumatic bereavement, and further training in baby loss, including miscarriage and stillbirth.
I have also completed a course in the neuroscience of anxiety, which I use in my work, and I am currently completing a training in trauma healing. I complete regular trainings and workshops as part of my continuing professional development. I also give ongoing priority to my personal and professional development through regular clinical supervision for all of my work, as well as receiving regular counselling myself.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in the charity sector in the UK and internationally. I am a mother.
